March Bucket List

I am SO happy March is here (weird to hear myself saying that, since March is usually my least favorite month out of the whole year). There have been some major sources of stress in my life lately, and I've thankfully worked it all out. I finally feel like I can breathe! I am currently sick with my 4th cold of the month as I write this (a couple days before March). I've been back and forth to the doctors, and their only explanation has been "it's simply bad luck." Of course. I often complain to my mom that I have the worst luck in the world- this doctor only confirmed what I've been saying all along!

In between all the colds, I did manage to check off seven out of the ten things on my February bucket list: I took a tropical vacation**, attempted to make working out a priority, stopped procrastinating my school work, organized my closet, wore more jewelry, drank hot chocolate and created a new & overall more relaxing night routine. Due to a knee injury, I am unfortunately out of golf so I was not able to consistently play every week. I didn't necessarily eat bad this month, but I definitely didn't eat healthier. And all my weekends were spent sick! So there was really no time for weekend adventures...

I feel like February's list resembled a new year's resolution list. All little lifestyle changes and boring to-do's that I wanted to get done. I really had a fun time coming up with things for my March bucket list. I think now that I'm out of golf, I'll have a little bit more time on my hands!

1. Treat myself to a facial- Surprisingly, I've never gotten one. I'm all for a good massage, but have always felt hesitant towards facials. I'm afraid of my skin reacting negatively to the products! However, my skin has been very dry and dull with the constant change of weather and illnesses.

2. Get all of my long-term work done- I hope to get all of my long-term school projects and assignments out of the way this month. April, May and June fly by because that's the best time of year for seniors! I don't want to be bogged down by endless assignments. Best to get them all out of the way, so I can enjoy the last 3 months of school (yikes, 3 months?!).

3. See a Broadway musical- I am dying to see a musical. I'm going to my school's musical this Friday, but I haven't seen a Broadway show in a couple of years. I hope to make a fun day out of it. Lunch and then a show, perhaps.

4. Bake chocolate lava cakes- Omg. One of my favorite restaurants used to have this amazing chocolate cake on the menu, but they took it off! I was devasted. But, this is a great opportunity for me to try out the recipe for myself.

5. Bring Max up to the beach- Pretty soon, the weather will start to turn and dogs won't be allowed on the beach anymore. I used to go the beach all the time last year with Max, but I haven't been able to as much this year. Hopefully, I can make up for that and really soak in the cool salt air before the beaches get crowded for the summer!

6. Try a new restaurant- I've been stuck in a restaurant rut. Always going to the same old places, ordering the same things. It's time for something new!

7. Get my spring wardrobe in order- I've been looking at a bunch of clothes online for the spring/summer season (I mean, did you see this post?). I want to order a couple of things, organize what I have, and weed out what I don't want.

8. Put the finishing touches on my bedroom- The state of my bedroom has been an ongoing process as I've gone back and forth between themes. Not really wanting to make major purchases, but having to start somewhere. Indecisiveness is my biggest flaw. I need to buckle down and order the final decorations and accessories to make everythng look just right.

9. Take a pottery class- I don't mean painting pottery, I mean actually sculpting the clay. I took a wheel throwing class at camp when I was a kid, and remember absolutely loving it. It could be a fun weekend activity to do with my mom and sister.

10. Have a movie night with friends- I absolutely love spending time with my friends. Almost every weekend, we are at someone's house hanging out and watching a movie. This month, I'm making it legit with all the works: popcorn, candy, drinks...

** I had planned on doing shoots for at least four different outfits while at The Bahamas. Unfortunately the first night there, I ran a fever and was sick the entire trip! Can you see how I have bad luck?
